Jason's Profile

Jason van Dijk joined Deneys Reitz as a candidate attorney in 2007. In January 2009, he was appointed as an associate in the Competition Law Department.

Jason has been published in numerous academic, legal and press publications, and given a number of radio interviews. His work has been published and presented at the Annual Competition Commission, Competition Tribunal and Mandela Institute Conference on Competition Law, Economics and Policy in South Africa.

Jason began studying a B.Business Science (Finance - Chartered Accountancy) at the University of Cape Town to gain a sound knowledge of fundamental financial principles. He achieved the Dean's Merit List for both of his two years in this stream. He changed direction to complete a B.Business Science (Law) with Honours. Thereafter, he read for an LLB degree at UCT before relocating to join our Johannesburg office.

He is passionate about sport, family and travel, having worked in the USA and UK and is also a distinguished rugby coach.
